JITSO 2012 gathers the most significant international researchers that try to understand social phenomena as they unfold, mining their digital traces. Le conflit de Wukan vu par les médias internationaux

Wukan est un petit village dans le Sud de la Chine, très proche de Hong Kong. Les médias du monde entier ne se sont jamais intéressés à ce village avant le 23 Septembre 2011. A cette date, le South China Morning Post, le Financial Times et le Morning Star ont publié la nouvelle que les villageois s’étaient révoltés suite à l’installation sur leurs terres ancestrales de projets commerciaux dont les dividendes bénéficient essentiellement aux officiels locaux.
